The Textile Fibre Guide

A Comprehensive A–Z Reference for Fashion Students & Emerging Designers

An essential educational resource exploring natural, regenerated and technical fibres used in contemporary fashion and Italian deadstock textiles.

Why Fibre Knowledge Matters

Fibre composition defines how a fabric performs β€” its drape, structure, breathability, durability and sustainability profile. For fashion students and designers, understanding fibre properties is fundamental to garment construction and material selection.

At Simply Fabrics, we specialise in Italian deadstock textiles, offering premium natural and technical blends that balance luxury with performance.
